Original Art - Rai #6 cover
I'm trying to put together a complete collection of black and white ink art posts of every pre-UNITY Valiant comic. So far I've got X-O Manowar #1, X-O Manowar #2, X-O Manowar #4 and Harbinger #6. Here is another post (sort of) in that series. This time it's the cover art for a UNITY book - Rai #6 by Frank Miller. Now what's interesting about the UNITY covers is they were all done by only 3 different artists (Barry Windsor-Smith, Frank Miller and Walt Simonson) and none of them were ever sold until now. This cover is the first (that I know of) to reach the collector market and therefore the first to be scanned in all its black and white glory.
Behold.

Valiant Poster - UNITY #0
According to the Valiant marketing annual given to retailers at the Capital City Distributors conference explaining Valiant's upcoming releases and promotions, this is the first of two point of purchase posters supporting the UNITY crossover. It shipped with Valiant's March solicitations. The image is the same as the cover to UNITY #0 and is by legendary creator Barry Windsor-Smith.
The other poster is a Frank Miller UNITY poster that shipped with Valiant's April solicitations. That features the same art as the cover of Eternal Warrior #1.

100 blog posts!
Here it is, the 100th blog post on All Things Valiant! And in honor of our 100th post, I've got a special treat - a download-able high resolution copy of the cover to Eternal Warrior #1 by Frank Miller sans price box and cover logo!! Why the cover to Eternal Warrior #1? Because, just like Gilad the Eternal Warrior, All Things Valiant is going to last the ages...
Pathetic, isn't it? Okay, the truth is I tried really hard to come up with something extra special for the 100th blog post and I couldn't come up anything exciting. I just ended up not posting a bunch of stuff I wanted to post because I was trying to think of something for post 100. Oh well, maybe 150 will be special. Anyway, now back to our regularly scheduled blog.
